Riddle
of Aloha
Trees blanketed the island, blinding me from the
true secrets within. The leaves were hanging on for dear life onto the branches,
while it glittered in rain drops. Research showed us that this place was a lie.
And to my view, it was a very big one. Sand held up the lopsided island,
wincing in the sunlight. The aquamarine sea that surrounded the island was full
of silver creatures, half fish and half mammal. Aloha island was painted in
mystery, treasuring the meaning of it beneath. The blur of towering mountains
were viewable over the skeleton-like plants, the peak hidden by the cotton
clouds.
The entrance to the jungle was like a guest that
was welcome in a haunted house. The palm trees shadowed our bodies as well as
our hearts, trapping us in their never ending pit. However, there’s always a
light that overcomes the dark, and there it was, like a glistening chandelier,
inviting us to its grand ball. As my hand hovered over the emerald quilt that
covered what was lying behind, my heart thudded unearthly. What if we can never
get out? I pushed the branch over my head and got ready for what staged before
me.
